I recently bought myself a domain name for personal use (for business cards, email and such), and decided to get it set up in the perpetually beta Gmail interface that we all know and love. It wasn’t as easy to set up Google Apps with the new domain as it was the first time I did, with the domain loppl.com, mostly due to my recent change in hosting services. Thanks to Paul Stamatiou, an insightful blogger and Media Temple fanatic, I was able to get it fixed up. The process also gave me some experience with CNAMES, MX records, and the DNS system in general. Google Apps is a very handy service, and I look forward to using it more in the near future.
